Q: I live in Greensboro,North Carolina, My wife and I are interested in buying a vacation home in the coastal areas of North Carolina or South Carolina. Where can i go to find a Realtor that can help me look at both areas.

A: Go to a web search engine, such as Google.com, and type in ?waterfront properties? and the area you?re are interested in (i.e. north Carolina waterfront properties Realtors). This should bring results to several realtors in the area.
Another choice is to go to Realtor.com and start browsing properties that you would be interested in. Then click on wanting to see it. You usually will be given the contact info of the person who listed that property. Generally those agents listing waterfront properties are also good at helping you find one.

A: Most likely you need more than one realtor ? because our market areas are within a certain distance of our offices?. Realtors are licensed by state also ? so a NC agent might not be licensed in SC ? I am licensed in SC and GA. A: The ?coastal areas of North Carolina or South Carolina? cover a pretty big hunk of real estate; I?m thinking hundreds of miles. I don?t believe it?s realistic to expect find one Realtor with enough expertise in the coasts of both states to represent you. My suggestion would be to narrow your search down to more manageable areas and then ask for a Realtor recommendation for those particular areas. For instance the Outer Banks is a hugely popular destination area but it runs from Corolla NC on the Virginia line all the way down to the end of Cape Hatteras National Seashore and on to Bald Head Island NC. That?s about 300 miles as the seagull flies.
