Insect Encyclopedia

Here is a list of all the playable species of insects and bugs you may use. Just because a species is not up here, does not mean you cannot use it. You are more than more than welcome (yes I meant that) to suggest other species to be playable as characters, in this forum. Besides, it's not like I can do every species at once. By the way, I will not make Spiders available as playable species. All playable species are to be personificated, and non playable ones are normal.

Ants: One of the main and biggest races. Ants make their kingdoms underground, however, they have been known for farming, though, most of their food comes from hunting or scavenging. They are known to be extremely strong, and all work as a team. Not one single ant will not have a job. There may be workers, guards, nurses, scouts, hunters, cooks, managers, builders, whatever. They are all under the rule of one queen. Most ants are females, about 70%, the other 30% being males. They are currently at war with Bees, and have an alliance with Termites.

Bees: The other biggest colonial races. Bees have the ability to fly, and make their homes in the large trees. They travel long distances to collect their food. Bees are known to be more inventive, and are always creating new ways of helping the colony, whether it be more effective ways of protecting themselves, or simply making better honey. They are known to be better with strategy, and have been known to be aggressive fighters, with much stamina, but are louder and easier to spot. They are currently at war with Ants, and are having relationship issues with wasps.

Wasps: They have been known to be as inventive as bees, but they are more selfish, and do not know how to make anything. They'll eat whatever is edible, and they will make due with what they have, They are very resourceful, making use of any type of resource, like using small spaces for shelter and mud to build with. They are losing trust of the Bees. They too, can fly.

Termites: They are very similar to Ants, however, they aren't farmers or scavengers like ants. They are miners. They are very aggressive, and will dig into anything they can find. They'll also use mud, in the same fashion that wasps do, to build.

Flies: Independent creatures that will eat whatever they can steal. They are known to be thieves, but are otherwise almost harmless. They'll live where nobody else dares to, if it's safe enough, and are known to be extremely fast. Not to mention they fly.

Mosquitoes: Rogues, often living near water, who take a fine career in fighting monsters. Though, one's yet to ever slay one. They enjoy cooler temperatures.

Fireflies: Another independent nocturnal creature. These bugs are quite mysterious, though, nobody really cares about what they do. The do fly around, but they are also known for being able to glow.

Butterflies: Beautiful and timid creatures, who look like fairies. Like bees, they'll hang around flowers, and just sort of mind their own business. However, they are a big target for many monsters. And they are able to fly, though, not that fast. Also, they go south when it starts to get cold.

Moths: They are similar to butterflies, only, they are more nocturnal, and are somehow attracted to light, for it throws them off. Otherwise, they are known for being excellent navigators, their kind having developed a type of mapping system involving the stars, and have very good memory of the land. One, when traveling, would like one on their side.

And will be excepting more...
