NBA scores: Miami handled at home by Knicks

LeBron James played great, but the rest of the Heat failed to show up against the New York Knicks on Thursday.

The Miami Heat were handed their first home defeat and second consecutive loss by the New York Knicks, 112-92, on Thursday night.

It was a resounding win for the Knicks, who move to 14-4 on the campaign and the best record in the Eastern Conference. The loss sounds alarm bells for Miami, who has now lost twice to New York by 20 points each time.

This contest was made all the more embarrassing due to Carmelo Anthony sitting out with an injured left hand. Also, the Heat were coming off a loss to the two-win Washington Wizards.

LeBron James was the only Miami player to accomplish much of anything, scoring 31 points while grabbing 10 rebounds and dishing out nine assists.

Thunder 114, Lakers 108: Oklahoma City scored 67 first-half points at home on Friday night and never looked back. Kevin Durant eventually out-dueled Kobe Bryant, scoring 36 points compared to Bryant's 35.

Dwight Howard played exceptionally well, going for 23 points and 18 rebounds, but it wasn't enough.

Kings 91, Magic 82: Sacramento took care of business at home behind Demarcus Cousins' 17 points and 12 rebounds.

Orlando had four players in double-figures, but was undone by hitting only four 3's and 16 turnovers. Glen Davis played the best of anyone, notching 20 points and 11 rebounds.
