The Faculty of Engineering and Computing at Coventry University is one of the largest in the UK, and is nationally and internationally renowned as a centre of innovation for its teaching, learning and research of computing subject areas. The department of Computing one of six departments in the faculty, has a very successful suite of courses supported by excellent staff, teaching facilities and laboratories. The department is responsible for the development of a thriving portfolio of teaching and research. We offer undergraduate degrees in Computer Science, Computing, Ethical Hacking and Network Security, Games Technology, Multimedia Computing and Business Information Technology. Our postgraduate courses include Computer Science, Computing, Software Development, Network and Forensic Computing, Information Technology. Our research is focused on applying computing to real-world problems and we have the following research groups:??

• Computational Intelligence
• Intelligent Information Modelling and Retrieval
• Distributed Systems and Modelling?
• Interactive Worlds
• Digital Security Forensics
• Biomedical Computing and Engineering Technologies

This post will support existing teaching commitments in the Department of Computing. The post holder will be expected under the supervision and guidance of a senior academic member of staff to contribute to the delivery of modules, Activity Led Learning and other teaching and learning support activities of the department. The post holder will be also expected under the supervision and guidance of a senior academic member of staff, to contribute to the assessment of appropriate modules and to provide academic support to students on these modules.

The successful candidate should have a BSc degree related to Computing. Relevant industry experience, MSc or a PhD would be very welcome.
