Gamer Escape ? Gaming Community featuring News, Wikis ...

If you don?t already own a copy of Final Fantasy XIV, it might already be too late. Today, retailers were ordered to destroy any remaining copies they have of the current version of the game.

With current players of the game being offered a free upgrade to the 2.0 client, it comes as no surprise that Square Enix may want to get rid of the cheap copies of the game on the market right now (some retailers selling the game for as low as $13.00) so that they can bring the cost of the title up a bit with the launch of A Realm Reborn.

If you wanted to get into A Realm Reborn on the cheap, or simply want the game as a collector?s item, you better act now!
