Our client is a major UK banking group with a significant presence nationally and internationally. Over recent years they have adopted a major initiative to analyse and improve their sales performance strategy across their corporate customer base and have created a role which will lead this initiative in key regions and locations nationwide. The ultimate aim is to ensure that all new and existing corporate opportunities are being identified and progressed and that the sales teams in all product areas have a consistent approach to strategy, planning and execution.

Working with the Head of Sales Management the role will be to develop and introduce a new sales management framework across UK Corporate Banking - this is defined as corporates with an annual turnover in excess of ?25million.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cross managing Regional, Sector and Product Corporate sales activity with key stakeholders across Corporate Banking and the wider Group. Products include tradional corporate banking debt, asset finance, invoice finance, deposits, cards, trade finance and cash management.
  • Enabling senior management to view the holistic performance of the division at all times.
  • Key lisaison point for the sales management team with regard to future strategy and completion of planning programmes.
  • Working with product and value optimisation teams to ensure the accurate presentation of MI and KPI analysis across the division.
  • Working on cross function and sales management projects.
  • Supporting the business by providing analysis, challenges, options and potential solutions to key issues and changes faced by the business.
  • Ensuring the business has sufficient infrastructure in place to achieve it's objectives.
  • Acting as an anchor point for all sales management functions.

Key Skills:

  • We are keen to receive applications and enquiries from high quality candidates with a sales and sales management background in corporate banking or from more than one other product such as asset finance, invoice finance, cards, cash management, trade finance etc.
  • You must be highly motivated with a strong business presence and professional gravitas.
  • You will need to be analytical and have strong presentation skills.
  • You will ideally have had hands on experience of managing sales performance and activity in some capacity.
